Working as a driver at T and T Cars

Working five days a week is the aim for all of our drivers

The taxi industry has been a good source of income for drivers in the United Kingdom for many years but unlike many job sectors, taxi drivers rarely have a guaranteed set earnings each week or month so, during any downturn it is not always such a dependable income for those with families to feed and bills to pay.

At T&T Cars we have worked hard for many years to secure sustainable contracts with local councils and the private sector.

Private medical companies, pharmaceuticals, and private schools along with council school and adult education runs have provided our drivers with constant work when Hackney Carriage and regular Private Hire work has dried up.

The Covid-19 pandemic has devastated our industry with many drivers having to find work in other sectors but due to our relationships with many contract providers we have been able to continue to work and pay our drivers throughout a very difficult period.

Some of our contracts require drivers to transport handicapped and/or special needs children and adults, so the right personality and demeanor is needed. Most drivers find this work enjoyable and satisfying, but we understand it is not for all.
